Barista Technology has proposed the automation of 'tamping'; which is an important process for extracting espresso, and released the first ever auto tamper 'Puqpress' in 2011.

In 2015, they launched the third-generation Puqpress, which is now used in 45 countries around the world. Barista Technology continues development with the aim of reducing the workload of barista and providing high-quality espresso by precise tamping.
